In Central and Eastern Europe, our core partner Slovak Eco Quality (SEQ) led a powerful, youth-driven climate program that connected creativity, climate solutions, and personal reflection. Together, we designed and delivered a regional initiative that engaged more than 130 young people aged 13–30 over six months.
SEQ took DearTomorrow’s future imagining methodology and blended it with action-oriented themes, helping participants explore not only the world they want—but also the tools to build it.
Through a mix of interactive programs, SEQ created a space where visioning and doing went hand-in-hand. Events included:
A climate solutions hackathon, where youth collaborated to design practical innovations;
A sustainable fashion workshop, exploring how clothing choices intersect with climate justice;
And a mental health & nature connection session, grounding future visions in emotional resilience and ecological connection.
Each session encouraged participants to reflect, create, and write letters to the future—a practice that helped them connect their dreams with their decisions.
In a powerful culmination of the program, youth from Poland, Armenia, and Slovakia traveled to Brussels to present their DearTomorrow letters to representatives at the EU Parliament.
These young changemakers shared personal visions of a sustainable, just future—and urged leaders to take bold climate action. It was a moment of intergenerational dialogue, made possible through SEQ’s leadership and their commitment to elevating youth voices on the biggest stage.
To carry these lessons forward, Slovak Eco Quality created three curriculum guides, developed from the insights, feedback, and outcomes of the partnership. These guides are now living tools for educators, youth groups, and NGOs, designed to support others in adapting the DearTomorrow model to their communities.
Together, we’ve helped young people imagine—and begin to shape—a climate future that’s grounded in hope, action, and a deep sense of purpose.
